This blog is made to provide the view of
all the people that are working in the underground mines in Halkidiki Greece. I
share this content in Facebook and because I have friends that they are not
speaking Greek maybe don't understand what I'm talking about.
We are 2000 employers working in this
mines. We are trained, professionals and we love our jobs. Somebody from us (like
me) are in this job for a one and half year but we trying to become professionals.
The new government from the last elections say that they goes to close the
mines because of environmental problems. We love our jobs, we love the environment
that we live and we are the guarantee that everything goes well.
We
aren’t a piece for political confrontation. This mines exist from the period
that the king in this area was Alexander the Great. It is not something new.
This mines is growing the local economy, produces prosperity and help us to
stay to our country, for working and helping to go further.
I’m
sorry that I can’t to translate all the posts. I’ m not a professional. I’m an
underground loader driver but a IT specialist too. If you want, leave me a
message and I try to answer on your questions.
The
name of the blog is -240w. In the underground mines the name for every stoa is
the altitude that is beginning. In the altitude -240 is a new stoa that has a
new table. What is table? Is a small recess in the stoa with a table and some
elementary goods to eat the employers in their gap or to drink a coffee to
relax and after to continue with power their daily work.
I’m a part of those people. I’m working
underground because I don’t want leave my country and cause difficulty to my
family. This is the reason that I take the decision to administrate a blog. I
believe that we are wining at the end and our area and our country will be feel
the prosperity.
